Automatization
The Automation of tasks module consists of the Task Wizard, Policies and Virtual Groups.
The Task Wizard gives an opportunity to create, step by step, an installation task covering a specific list of computer positions. The user, on the basis of a saved template, determines the list of recipients of the task and the date of its launch. The indicated posts automatically download information about the saved tasks and launch specific actions.
The Policy Wizard gives a possibility to create a policy covering a dynamic list of computer positions. The main task of the policy is to "make sure" that the active policy is always present on the indicated positions. One example is the installation of standard-compliant applications, which must always be installed on users' computers. If the user removes an application covered by the policy, it will automatically be reinstalled. The Task and Policy Wizard allows you to define a list of recipients on the basis of manual selection of positions, selection from an organisational, location or virtual group.
Virtual groups are own groups containing computer positions with specific criteria. The system contains a set of predefined attributes, from which the user builds logical conditions "AND", "OR" to obtain the required list of positions. Built-in attributes include hardware parameters of the computer (e.g. RAM, CPU, HDD) and operating system (e.g. Windows 10). Saved groups can be selected as job list recipients and policies. In the first case (task), a closed list of computer stations will be created from this list.
