IT infrastructure management
The basic zone of the ITManager system allows for central resource management. The built-in wizard allows you to create any type of resource, describe it with the required attributes and link it to any other object.
The IT infrastructure management module consists of modules related to:

Automatic hardware and software identification allows administrators to constantly monitor the computer infrastructure thanks to the ITM agent installed on computers, the system reads the exact hardware configuration (including CPU, RAM, HDD, BIOS), and collects information about the software installed on the computer. Thanks to the built-in software signature database, the administrator can be sure that the scan results are correct. The mechanism also recognizes applications in the portable version. Additionally, the system scans files on hard disks according to masks defined by the administrator (e.g. music/video). Built-in console list of workstations allows to manage computers in the company in a clear and ergonomic way. The console's interface enables the presentation of positions in various forms (list, organizational structure, location, network structure) and an overview of the activity of individual positions. Extensive reports will help to plan hardware replacement and summarize the operating systems and installed applications. The system has a built-in mechanism informing administrators (mail/SMS alert) about detected irregularities. The above mentioned features allow administrators to efficiently manage computers in environments with up to 10 000 workstations.
Support for the process of software legality management (License Management) begins with cyclic identification of software that users install and run on company computers. The collected data is compared with information about purchased licenses entered into the system. This allows to build a software legality equation. This data is also stored historically, which allows for a detailed analysis of individual items. The ITManager system gives the possibility of independent control of license compliance (Software Compliance) with software detected on the positions.
An optional extension of the audit functionality is a module for monitoring the actual use of software. The tool allows to assess whether the already purchased software is used effectively (e.g. the user has a license for Microsoft Access application, and in fact uses the software actively for 5 minutes per month). This analysis also helps in planning the purchase of an appropriate number of new licenses, which translates into cost optimization in this area. It also allows, if necessary, to transfer the software license between employees in order to make the most efficient use of the available resources.
The module allows for resource management and hardware and system inventory of registered posts. Within this function, the system allows for central recording of all IT assets under the care of the IT team. In a flexible way it is possible to create any type of resources, which in practice gives unlimited possibilities to adjust the configuration. Additionally, through the applied mechanisms of obtaining knowledge about resources and infrastructure (Asset Discovery), the system automates information about the resources and their configurations. Moreover, it is possible to read the inventory data from positions located outside the LAN of the organization. Each of the objects managed in the system has a possibility to describe unique features with any set of attributes, as well as to attach documents in electronic form, such as scans of purchase invoices, warranty cards or transfer protocols. An additional element of the resource management process is a set of information about the employee using the equipment. This set of data is obtained automatically from the Active Directory service, which gives the possibility to build relations between the objects (also in an automated way) and to transfer IT assets to the employees of the organization for use.
