General information

IT Manager system consists of four elements:

• An ITM agent - installed at the end stations

• Application server (HELIX)

• Databases

• Management console for Administrators

The currently recommended database is MS SQL Server 2005 or later, from the free Express version to commercial solutions such as Standard or Enterprise. Installation of the Agent is carried out in a fully automated way and invisible to the user. For this purpose you can use Active Directory rules or properly prepared installation scripts. The Administrator's management console is secured with a physical HASP key that allows to define the level of rights to system modules. After user authorization, the main console screen is displayed. It has been divided into sections, the main element of which is a list of registered posts in the form of a table or tree structure. The structure of Workstation Groups can be freely edited or downloaded from Active Directory. The IT Manager console consists of 5 modules:

• IT infrastructure management - hardware inventory, software and process scanning,

• ServiceDesk - user support line support,

• User monitoring - analysis of running applications and visited websites, data archiving, supervision of removable drives,

• Network monitoring - network traffic analysis, remote installation of .msi packages and network map,

• Remote operations - remote computer acquisition and management, automation, data backup.
